1.   (a) What kind of emergencies do you plan for? 
(b) Please provide a copy of your emergency plan?

2.   (a) How much is your surety?
(b) please provide us with a copy.

3.   (a) Who insures GE Hitachi?

b) How much insurance does GE Hitachi hold for its land, operations, third party liability, accidents, etc.?

c) What kind of accidents is GE Hitachi insured for?  For example, in the event of a fire or accident, how much insurance does GE Hitachi have to compensate for harm or damage to neighbours, their homes and possessions, and the surrounding lands?

d) Would you please provide a copy of this insurance policy/package.

4.   Is there currently any of the following on site at 1025 Lansdowne:

i) enriched uranium
ii) plutonium
iii) depleted uranium
iv) beryllium

5.   I understand that GE Hitachi's current licence includes "DU".

 i) is "DU" depleted uranium?

ii) why is GE licenced for DU?

iii) what does GE Hitachi do with DU? how does DU fit into plant's operations?

6.   Would you please provide us with a copy of GE Hitachi's current licence.

7.   (a) Who was notified of the GE Hitachi Dupont's Nov. 22 open house?
(b) How were people notified?
(c) Would you please provide a list of the names, positions, companies and email contacts for the people who attended the meeting on GE Hitachi's behalf, or at its request.

ii) Emissions reports and appendices - current

1. Would you please provide:

(a) the names and contact information for the people who conduct any testing – of soil, air quality, sewer discharge and any other tests conducted on GE Hitachi's behalf?

(b) the site map of the 50 locations on and off your property where you conduct soil samples?

(c) the frequency of the various tests

(d) the locations of emissions, sewer discharge and all other testing


(f) the name of the company and contact information of all third parties who test and/or verify GE Dupont's testing for:

i.  air emissions

ii. discharges into the sewer system

iii. soil samples

iv. all other tests you have conducted



iii) Questions regarding the 2010 Licence application and hearings, and decommissioning plan

1. As I understand it, when GE Hitachi applied to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to have its licence renewed in 2010, it was obliged to notify both the community and First Nations.  
i) What First Nations did GE Hitachi notify of the 2010 licensing hearings?

ii)  How did GE Hitachi notify the First Nations? 

iii) Would you please send a copy of all the materials you sent out to notify First Nations.

iv)  Would you please provide a copy of the notice of the 2010 licensing hearings that was published in the paper?
2.  (a) What is the estimated cost of de-commissioning the GE Hitachi plant?
    (b) Could you please provide us with:

   (i) a copy of the estimate
   (ii) a copy of the de-commissioning plan
iv ) Questions regarding the 1999 fire and reports from 2000

1. Could you please provide a complete safety report from the 1999 fire at 1025 Lansdowne?
2.  Would you please provide:
i)  a copy of  all the environmental monitoring reports (EMR) since the beginning of GE's 1025 Lansdowne operation and/or when your monitoring began? 

ii) the appendix for each EMR?
Context:
We are looking for complete information regarding text results since 2000 for:
i.  air emissions

ii. discharges into the sewer system

iii. soil samples

iv. all other tests you have conducted,
with full information about the people, companies and third parties who conducted and/or verified GE Hitachi's testing, including full information about the testing methodology,
the frequency of the various tests and the locations of emissions, sewer discharge and all other testing.

  3. Could you please provide us with a copy of the licences dating back to the time when the plant operating at 1025 Lansdowne began to handle/receive or have uranium - in any form - on its premises?
            4. The employees I spoke to at the open house have worked at GE Dupont for 10 years or less.   None of them were aware of any, enriched uranium, plutonium or depleted uranium on the 1025           Dupont site. 
(a) Has there ever been any of the following on site at 1025 Lansdowne:
i) enriched uranium
ii) plutonium
iii) depleted uranium
iv) beryllium

5. My neighbour used to see the radioactive sign outside 1025 Lansdowne some years ago. It has since been taken down.

            (a) Why was the radioactive sign on the fence?
            (b  When and why was this sign taken down?
  6.   When - and why - did you stop using the rail spur line that went  to GE's premises?
